What to do about nausea?

During the first weeks of pregnancy, there are hormonal changes to which every woman reacts differently. Typical reactions to these bodily changes are nausea and vomiting. It usually happens in the morning right after getting up and sometimes even lasts until the evening.

It might help to have a little snack before getting up. The first meal of the day boosts the blood glucose level and can stop nausea. This does not necessarily have to be a full breakfast in bed though. Mostly it is sufficient to have a small snack, perhaps a banana, rusk or some dried fruit – depending on what you like.

You can continue doing so throughout the day. An empty stomach often causes nausea. Don’t give it a chance. Nevertheless, if it is really bad, please consult your doctor.
